Programs for Adults

Walking Club

The Community Walking Club meets at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library at 9:00 a.m. every Thursday for a one or two mile walk around town. Everyone is invited to walk with the group (check with your health care professional to be sure you can walk 20 to 40 minutes on pavement). Fitness with friends is fun! No one walks alone; there are groups of slow, medium and speedy walkers. The Community Walking Club meets every Thursday the Library is open, all year around. We walk in any kind of weather except thunderstorms and ice storms. For winter walking, we recommend treaded boots or Trax, available at most sporting goods stores. For more information, call 989-724-6796.

Make-It Monday!

Join us for the monthly “Make-It Monday” session at the Harrisville branch. A craft or art project is offered for those who enjoy a new art experience. We are honored to have local artists and crafters share their talents with us, and help us keep the costs down to small materials & refreshment fees. Must register for all events: call 989-724-6796.

We’re always looking for new projects; call Kat at 989-724-6796 if you have an art or craft project to share.

More great craft ideas to come!!!
